Complete 944 S2 Motor for Sale
Hey guys! It's time again....we've got a guy who was planning on putting an S2 motor in his -1 944. After we took a look at the car, we realized that there are better places to put his money (i.e. brakes, fuel lines (you know, the unimportant stuff!)) We sold him the motor, so we're going to be selling the motor for him. Here's everything I can tell you about the motor:
About 118K on the motor Head was freshened and replaced around 90K (had very reasonable leak test results when we checked it before we sold it to him) Came out of a wrecked customer's car (sustained no damage in accident) Ran and sounded good when it arrived. Replaced the #2 connecting rod cap Cams and crank looked good when we had it apart (we'd still suggest a set of bearings since the motor is out though) This is going to be sold complete (harness, ECU the whole deal). We're asking $2,900 for the package. We will package up the motor (including pallet), you will have to arrange the transport. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Sorry Aaron, these engines are really not worth anything. Tell you what, I'll give you $500 and I'll help you push it across the shop to where the black 924S is sitting and then you won't have to look at it anymore. (the engine that is)

I'm guessing #2 cap was changed due to recent bearing failure?
Whats the condition of the crank and rod? Turned ? Last edited by 95ONE; 01-28-2009 at 09:44 PM.. |

No, we just wanted to check to make sure that the #2 bearing WASN'T spun. Everything looked o.k. We'd just SUGGEST doing bearings while it's apart. Why wouldn't you, you know?
