944/951/924S Ski Rack

I have a Mohen "Sherpa" ski rack that was a dealer item for 924S/944/951 back in the 80's. Excellent shape--never in harsh weather. All parts, instructions, and original box(the box is beat-up). Rack holds (2) pairs of skiis along the hatch--no drilling required to install. 100.00 plus shipping--I am in Pittsburgh, pretty neat item. PM me if interested.

Ski season is fast approaching. If 007 used his Lotus as his ski transport, surely your P-car can get to the slopes and back.

+1

I bet my road bike would look pretty cool on there also, but I usually just break it down and put it inside the hatch (better at preventing theft too).

Yep--still have it.

Put it on your ride, clamp in a pair of vintage K2 with Salomon 747 equipe' bindings, get out your day-glo Columbia Parka, stretch pants and rear-entry Salomon boots, hook up the walkman with a realistic mix tape dubbed from a 2-cassette boom box and voila it's the 80's all over again.

PS--don't forget the bandannas too.

God, you just described most of my youth. I was "that guy" more than I care to admit. Used to ski quite a lot back then...

I still have a pair of Head Edge skis with old-school Tyrolia bindings someplace that I've used to go over rocks and stuff. I love the "WTF" looks you get. Heck, these days you get that for simply having skis at all rather than a board...

It's fun to be an anti-poseur, isn't it? Some of the best skiiers I've ever seen were on ratty old equipment and not the latest/flashiest stuff. Lots of snobbery in skiing - kind of like golf or cycling. It ain't the equipment.

Harkin Banks just stopped by, what do you think of this rack?

That's okay Harkin, your kiss-ass blaster in the freestyle competition was awesome!

Hello,
I am using my 924 as a winter driver this year and was wondering if this ski rack was still available? Thanks.
