Windshield install
Hello,
Any one with experience on Windshields?? I have a cracked windshield and a new windshield is around $900.00 on today's market. So I have looked around and found a used one locally but it is an 84 944 model - is it the same as my 1985.5 - will the 1984 windshield fit my 1985.5 (Late 1985)? Antenna does not matter. Thanks

$900? I just had a new non antenna version installed in my '89 944 for $165.06 a couple weeks ago from a local glass shop. The highest price I received for the non antenna version of the 10 shops I called was about $400 installed. Look around, you should not be paying that much.
The non antenna (early model) windshield fit my late model ('89) just fine so you should be ok. |

PO 924,
What is your location? - what is the condition of the windshield (Any pits or sanding)? Is it with built in antenna or not. If I cannot get the windshield here local out in one piece yours may be of consideration. What do we know of shipping it? Thanks for the reply, Ed nushi@q.com
