WTB: Turbo S long block

I threw a rod in my car and I'm looking for a low mileage engine for a Turbo S. I'd prefer a complete engine with everything on it. I'd also like it if the engine has less than 100k or it has recently been rebuilt.

edit: I now know that the head from my car is good so I am open to any Turbo engine.

If you strike out looking for a low mileage engine I am located in Atlanta, GA and have a 1988 944 turbo S complete running engine with 154k on it for $1750. Car was hit in the front - came out of Texas.

Pretty much any 944 Turbo bottom end will work for you as the crank, pistons and blocks are all the same. The 86 wont have the tensioner though. Also the later model oil pans had a crank scraper built in.

I have a short block from a 89 Turbo with 44K miles, has a very light scuff on the #4 cylinder, has been honed and rerung, asking $1500. I can put a fresh Turbo head on it with a wide fire ring head gasket for $500 more. Also have the turbo (44K miles) for this motor if you need it.

So the scuff is still there after it was honed? Minus the head, is everything else put together and ready to go? Thanks.

I've got an 86 turbo short block for sale for $550 - bores look good and the motor had great compression numbers before I pulled the head. Lots of pics here....
