Man, it's hard to believe that the driver was burned so badly, based on the car's condition.

My thoughts go out to Alan's family and friends...

Looks like the car is in FL.

per search on google, he died. very very unfortunate. from the looks of the car, and i am no expert, the fuel line caught fire. i am going on the fact that the fire was on the right side of the car and pretty much involved only that part of the vehicle.

After leaving a message I haven't received a call back. Id like to buy the fiberglass header panel, fiberglass fenders, rim center pieces, windshield (if it has the antenna within the glass), engine stand and the new rotors if he gets back with me.

Looking at the larger pictures it seems that the rearmost fuel line failed where it mounts to the fuel rail (looks like an AN fitting), closest to the firewall. It must have been spewing fuel onto the passenger side area, possibly getting into the passenger compartment (The firewall has been modified to tie the roll cage into the front strut towers).

The interior of the car actually doesn't look too bad to me; the shift handle is still mostly intact, the gauges are not melted, most of the foam on the seat is intact. Keep in mind that (Hopefully) the racer got out of the car before most of the flames would be burning, especially in the interior.

Sad to see, and one more reason to take real good care of your fuel lines and fittings...

It is a good incentive to maintain the fuel lines.

Guys, the seller of these parts is very busy during the week. He is not looking to make much money off these parts, but rather help liquidate the parts for Allan Burgess family. I spoke to him about the racecar earlier today. He is new to Pelican Parts, and has recieved your emails and PM's but needs to organize who has first come on which parts. Please give him some time to return your emails and PM's.

Yes, and seal up your firewalls. And if your car is on fire....stop NOW and GTFO!

Adding to the heartbreak is the fact that he had a fire suppression system, but the safety pin was still in. This story actually gave me nightmares.
I hope this stuff sells fast so the family can start to move on. Tragic.

look closely, no one commented that the motor has been moved back 6+ inches, and firewall modified, lots of custom work on this car!
