FS: Leda Adjustable Struts / Shocks
**SOLD**
Full set-up of Leda 24 position single adjustable shocks and struts. Includes 500lb front springs and collars, but I seemed to have misplaced the rear springs/collars. Replacement collars are like $40 for everything. Spacing is for late offset NA & Turbo, 18mm I believe. Also includes Racers Edge lower shock adapters for proper spacing with AL trailing arms ($150). $1600 + Shipping ![]()

The early car has different spindle to strut mounts. You can machine a little off the inside of the strut flange and redrill one hole, or you can machine a little off the spindle and redrill one hole. Been done a million times as there are very few early performance shocks available. Search, there is tons of info.

Late shocks don't have the right travel for early cars, the geometry is wrong. Causes SERIOUS oversteer

Wow. That is an interesting comment. I am not familiar with that.
Are you talking about the front or the rear or a general statement about the both. Also, are you talking about a -1 car, or early vs late offset. Thanks Ed

Our experience was with rear shocks on early cars with steel trailing arms. The aluminum arm cars (85.5+) all seem to use the same rear shock via several different parts sources, while the steel armed cars call for a different shock.

Well, the -1 aluminum arms and the -2 have slightly different mountings, but the steel are very different. I was more thinking early offset aluminum vs late offset aluminum.
I run a very fast 86 944 with late offset turbo Penske shocks and struts on the early offset setup with no issues. Would not be that big of a deal if you had the steel arms to convert to an aluminum arm rear suspension. Heck, I know where there is one just like that waiting to go to the scrapper if the scrap guy has not yet picked it up yet. Ed
