944 Turbo Cup Mirrors WTB

Anyone here have a set? Or know where to get them?

I have a lead on early mk2 vw golf mirrors (allegedly the same as turbo cup), but the bases don't fit up to the 944 door. Figured I'd see if anyone has a complete set (mirrors plus bases). Thanks!

The mirrors were also used on 924S, (at least in Europe, dont know US) and maybe other 924's !

I'm also interested in a set, if TS has found his set.

I have a set in the garage I was saving for a RS themed build, but I would sell them.

for those who don't know what they are, they look like small flag mirrors and are made of plastic. They are very rare in the states.

Here are pics of the passenger side I have and for fun I compared it to a stock mirror - 2.5lbs weight savings per side. According to Excellence (Excellence :: Specs : 1986 944 Turbo Coupe (951)) curb weight is 2882 and hp is 220. That means each pony carries 13.1lbs. Add these mirrors and that drops to 13.0772lbs

Bought a set 6-8 months ago from Porsche Dealer. Approx. 6-700.00 for the pair....

I paid 75 € for a used set 6 months ago........
One side is rather scratched so I would be interested in finding a better one, but I dont think the US is the place to look for it.

I have manual windows and mirrors in my 44 and when you open and close the door the 5+ lbs I saved on each side is very noticeable an door feels nicer
