I've got a set still installed in an engine that is on a stand in my garage. 70K engine with flawless cylinder bores, so I will venture to say that they are in excellent condition. The head is obviously removed so inspection of at least the top of the pistons is available.
I'm in Mesa, so you can come take a look if you're interested.
