Newb needs help identifying seats
I'm thinking about picking up this pair of seats but don't know what kind of seats they are. It is claimed that they are Recaro out of a 1978 924. Any help? How can I know for sure? What would a fair price be?

Wow those look nicer maybe recovered well done. Yes those are 924 and early 1983-1985/1 seats for sure I would say they are worth between $300-$700 depending on the right buyer for the color combo. They also work in earlier 1970-1984 911 cars with different sliders mounted so if someone over that way finds out they need them for there precious garage queen they could sell for over $1k if the sliders are perfect with no rust, the foam is original and in excellent shape etc....

If you remove the plastic by the seat belt clip there's a part number and it also says recaro on there.

All Porsche seats are manufactured by Recaro. In 1963, Porsche acquired Recaro Carosserie-Werke (they made the 356 bodies for Porsche) and renamed the company Recaro GmbH & Co, and changed the focus of the company to just high end seats. In 1983 Porsche sold their controlling interest in Recaro to Keiper, which reanmed the company Keiper Recaro GmbH & Co. Porsche continues to use Recaro seats.
