For Sale: This is a low mile performance air intake/K&N cone for the 84-89 3.2 Carreras and possibly 3.6 964s and 944s (? not a 944 specialist), that is no longer available. The billet venturi section is machined from a solid piece of billet aircraft aluminum and blue anodized. The billet is machined with a bell shaped venturi intake section as on Weber intake stacks, and race car intakes to maximize air flow and minimize air restriction into the air flow meter rectangle. Notice the outer dimensions of the venturi rectangle starts at 3 3/4" x 3" and eventually funnels down to the air meter's 2 1/2" x 2" opening, primary reason where hotwire air mass meters get their power gains from. This decreases air restriction and increases air flow by 30%. Notice where I have radiused the machined edges of the verturi with a Dremmel to improve laminar flow. The original manufacturer dyno tested a 6 hp increase over the stock airbox on a 911 3.2. The next best thing to a $2000 hot wire air mass meter system, which is what I now have. Engine working space is also vastly opened up by replacement of the factory airbox. Don't waste your time with cone air filter setups which just clamp onto the stock meter and do nothing. Comes with the four yellow cad plated metric mounting bolts and washers, but not the air flow meter shown. $180 plus shipping.
