Looking for a rebuildable engine
I am bored and would like to have something to put time and money into. Maybe a spare for my 944. Anyways I would like to rebuild a 944 engine. I could use anywhere from a longblock, to the full package. I would prefer it to not need too much machining...but tell me what ya got. Keep in mind...cheap. I am looking to fully rebuild it, but I would prefer not to have to buy all new valves...so if it's broken a belt...I will have to pay less. But just throw out whatever ya got, and a price.

I have a complete running 1983 944 engine.... but not looking to dump it cheap. Though not looking to make a killing on it either. $800 plus you figure out how to get some one to pick it up and it is yours. That is the complete engine. Including intake and exhaust manifolds. The engine is in MA and has 100K miles on it. The only thing it needs is a ballance shaft seal and a new belly pan gasket. Ran great before I began parting out the car due to a bad frame rail.

Check out Ebay, 2 Days left on a Stirling/Moss longblock motor only at 100$ right now.
I also have an 83 or 84 short block that I need to get out of my garage. It does need machine work, the #4 cylinder is scored pretty good and head is bad. Includes block, crank, pistons, rods, pan, misc brackets, balance shafts/covers, and a bad head (machined improperly, 1 bent valve). 200$ +SHIPPING from VA |

I have a long block 1983 motor and tranny, 75,000 miles when pulled, running, then parted out car. I got the motor for a spare for my 1983 944, but sold it, so no longer need the motor and tranny. Have air box, manifold, DME thingie, other parts, and does NOT need rebuilt...Ready to go. $750 for both motor and tranny.
