Parting out - 1988 944S
I picked up this 1988 944S with a junkyard title. It can not be registered so I am parting it out. 168,000 miles. Everything is available for sale.
Engine. 2.5 16V Runs great. $1200 Transmission AGP $600 OZ Racing Fitipaldi wheels 2 (16x9) 2 (16x10) $500 Drivers side seat 4-way power, slight wear on piping $400 Passengers side seat manual $300 Everything seems to work (windows, sunroof, lights, dash etc.) I am located in Elmhurst IL (Chicago) All items are available for local pickup or can be shipped at buyers cost. Wow, that car looks like it's in pretty good shape, definitely one that would be worth saving. How did it get a junkyard title? I'm guessing the passenger side of the car has been whacked pretty good and then it was sold to a junkyard.
if it hasn't been in an accident and depending your state laws, can't you get a Bonded, Salvage, Salvage Restored, Reconstructed, Abandoned (Title), Bill of Sale, something and get it back on the road? Bruce

Car was sold at a police auction to a dismantler. State issued "JUNK ONLY" title. I can not find a way around it.
