Good question and I do not have the answer. Sorry. Both my 86 and my 88 have had aftermarket struts for quite a while. Cannot recall the ID or the length on the stock springs. Length doesn't really matter if you have a threaded body, but can't recall if the 86 did. My vague recollection is that it did not, in which case length would matter.
