Wanted: 1987+ upper strut mounts
I am looking for the 951 upper strut mounts that went on 87+ 944's. I have a 944s, but i think they all had them as part of the update to new mounts. I knocked out the old bearings, but the only place that sells replacements is a bearing shop in france, so i need a pair until those come in.
Send me a PM please, i need left and right. |

The replacement is 14x42x10 the original one was 14x42x11. The 1mm is length which doesn't matter.
Its funny Porsche just pressed the sides of the wall to keep it in place, but all you need to do it give it a good whack and it pops out. Installation is a small chisel to press the sides back if you want, but the entire assembly holds it in place anyway. I have a feeling they put the edges in so people don't replace them and pay 450+ for the entire assembly. My mounts are 30+ years old and the rubber is still in great shape. KLA make a reasonably priced set with a spherical bearing. Not as expensive as the more adjustable racing versions but at least new and improved available at most 944/951/968 places. $ 275 for the pair.
