Flexeplate

1986 PORSCHE 928 4.7 S2
CHECKING FLEX PLATE FRONT AND REAR BOLTS.
How do you move shaft with the splines 2mm towards gearbox to line bolt up .Doesn't seem to want move when tap it with hammer.

To move the shaft 2mm toward the gearbox on your 1986 Porsche 928 S2:
• Loosen the flex plate center nut slightly to relieve preload tension.
• Then gently tap the shaft rearward with a plastic mallet or brass punch.
• Ensure the shaft isn't binding due to rust, misalignment, or lack of support.
• Don't force it, it should move once preload is relieved.
