I thought i would post an update to my 928 project..Let me know what you think..here is a few pics
1. Last 6 months, R&R motor, replace seals, gaskets, bearings, belts, hoses..ect. Replace all hardwear with stainless allen hardware. All stainless hoses and fue lines. 2. Made a custom polished aluminum cross brace out of 3/4 x 3" oval aluminum. 3. front and rear suspention, Glas beaded and clear coated. Adjustable 474m shocks and adjustable perches. eibach lowering springs. refinished calipers, new pads and rotors. I am also making a set of adjustable drop links. 4. I am also making a custom "ram-air " style hood. will draw air from the top of the radiator, through the duct on the hood, About 2" tall and into an adapter at the rear of the air box. 5. The body , interior and audio are the next faze..Interior will be Burg/classic grey. customer rocker panels, spoiler and rear bumper finisher. Removed the rub strips and eliminated the us marker lights. Door panels will be modified for blaupunkt components, components in rear qtrs, 10" sub and 3 matching amps recessed in hatch area floor.

Just beautiful under the hood. Nice Job!
I am working on Chassis and Tires and finding the best corner speed, for now. Car likes a bit more negative camber Front and a touch on pressure changes rear and fine tuning with tire pressures all around. We are close. Engine bay is clean , but kinda crude and dull, compared to yours. Will get to it and update later. Thanks! Great Pics!

Wonderful attention to detail. That's what "it" is about.....
looks like I'm in for the motor R&R, too (OH, NO). One bad hole and not enthused about rebuilding a 4.5. Wish I could make the transfer to a 5.0 block, but it won't support my K-Jet. (I know, some like all that fancy computerized electronic injection stuff, but I'm old school. Crank the fuel pressure to one of these K-Jets and they scream) Love what you did with your calipers, but may I suggest some of these??? ![]() (S4 Big Blacks refinished to look like GTS Big Reds....) Just a constructive note on your "hood" excersize: To get any effective ram air HP, your opening is in the wrong area (unless I'm seeing it wrong?). The rear opening should be next to the base of the windshield (like a NASCAR grand national race car), or similar to the '70 Chevelle cowl induction. Any other hood opening (other than a Prostock style hood scoop--6" above the hood) is a waste of time. Suggest you move the cowl further back on the hood, to where the rear portion of the cowl actually sets just above the wipers (though not interfering with them). This would let you take advantage of the low pressure area at the base of the windshield (read: NASCAR). The factory intake scoops are the way to go, for cool air, and somewhat force induction. Even better would be if your intakes were right behind the grill. Now that would be forced induction/ram air. Keep after it--looking good. regards---rhjames
