I think thats a 1980 model. I believe the C means 1980. Did you get that # from the data plate on the base of the dash or was it from under the hood. The #'s under the hood use a ZZZ # but aren't Euro's. If the ZZZ vin was from the windshield/dash it is a Euro.

What was the motor ID M28/xx nnnnnn where n is the serial number, whats the xx?

If its "really" only 50k km and/or a Euro S and not just a Euro, might be worth getting, but at "best" everything working great etc. it might be worth like $8k or so once perfect.

Yeah, my 1981 Euro has a ZZZ in the VIN also. I believe this indicates a Euro. Mine is a also labeled as a "Grey Market" 928 too. Hope this helps.

ZZZ means not USA, often called a Euro, more precisely its a ROW (rest of world). A Euro S has about a 50% price premium over a US 16v model, and a non S is the same or a bit less than the US model.

If speedo is in Km, then it's a Euro version, needs Federalization papers to be registered and licensed in most states. If it's been sitting for a long time and condition of motor, trans, etc is unkonown, $1500 may be too high.

I was at Friedman Memorial this morning, there was a brown '81 928 5-spd just outside the parking lot with a for sale sign in the window, asking price $2500.
CAN YOU PM THE PHONE NUMBER OF THIS 958!!!
