Driver side fender, getting that last bolt at the top

I've been working on it, skipping it and doing other stuff, but I don't feel like I am closing in on the secret to removing the top bolt inside the wheel well next to the fire wall on the drivers side fender behind the vacuum tank thing.

Brake master came out tonight, and I still haven't seen whats holding the vacuum tank on, but it was getting dark about then and I rolled it up for the night.

Hints, links, etc. please.

Thanks Rogue, I was making no progress. With the wheels still on its really hard to see into the depths of the wheel well, and I won't be set up to lift the car for about another week. Without knowing where and what is holding on that vacuum tank, next tool choice is a pry bar.

Should be out soon now. With a ratchet, not pry bar, just so thats clear.

You can get that vac tank out by taking the vac line off/snipping it, then sticking a flat headed screw driver in there, then twist the entire tank.

I got an extended 10mm socket on the bolt and it came out surprisingly easy, just MANY rotations.

Fender bolt I now could sort of see (wheel still on car, no jack, so I am using a mirror). An hour or so of automotive yoga where my brain apparently is totally unable to direct my hand when using a mirror, and I remembered I have a set of Craftsman nut extractors. #5 size worked great, cut through the Cosmolene and bolt came right out.

Something is still holding the fender on, but too many bugs at night, tomorrow after my son comes home from school it will come off.

I've been telling my son, we're not peeling a potato, we're harvesting corn, the stuff that comes off needs to be intact to be useful. Some things break very easily though, old and brittle.

Thanks, due to all your help, another fender may live.
