Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche

I was visiting the PCA Website since I became a member last month. I stumbled across the COA form to see the fees and it really isn't that bad and you get a lot of valuable info.

Quote:
We are pleased to offer you a Certificate of Authenticity for your Porsche. This unique document includes your vehicle’s original factory-installed options, exterior and interior color, engine number and transmission number, production completion date (Birth Date) and manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP), dependent upon availability of information. Only vehicles produced for sale in the US or Canada are eligible for North American certification.
This Certificate can prove to be invaluable for restoration, resale and for displaying your Porsche at official Porsche concourse events, such as the annual Porsche Club Parade. Certificates do not include production number, selling dealer, previous owners, warranty history, standard equipment or technical information.
Quote:
Model Year 1948 to 1993 $110.00

Model Year 1994 to Present $95.00

Deduction for supplied window sticker on 1993 & older models only -$10.00

Deduction for Porsche Club Members Club __________________ Member # _____-$10.00

Shipping & Handling for U.S. and Canada $5.95

Outside the U.S. & Canada $24.95

I went through the same thing with my Euro--no COA available.

makes no sense at all.

if they can produce a COA for a US/Canada car, why not a Euro/ROW......?

Exactly, a Porsche is a Porsche, but I guess not.

Probably because it's PCA, check and see if there is a Euro Porsche Club.

I did that with my 924

You can see it at
www.geocities.com/eturbo924

Under certificate or some thing like that.

Was it worth it? I am not sure.
