Lamp Control Unit?

Where is the lamp control unit? I am having some lighting problems and if this was a BMW I would be taking apart my LKM and doing some repair. Can't find it anywhere.

82 928 US (I think)

There's a bulb control unit that is related to the exterior lights and the warning lights. It's a small black box above the CE panel in the passenger foot well. They are known to corrode and die and cause problems. Not sure if they can cause the bulbs not to work or if they just give false warnings when they go bad though.

Many times when they fail, you can open them up like many other electrical components and resolder the points on the PCB. Many times an hour or so with a soldering iron can save $$.

Thanks, That's exactly what I needed. I have a couple of late 80's early 90's BMW's that I maintain and they have the same problems with the same resolutions. Altough on the BMW's I know they can fail to the point that important things like say... Headlights won't work. I found it with your help and will heat up the iron and let you know.
