fuel inj harness, reconnectors.?

on fuel inj harness when you do reconnectors and have to be sure to put each wires ends to right way on connector ???? can some connect red left and some red right

just would of thought, make sure the new connector is facing right way(one side of plastic head a dip in it) then every wire would have been left red and right white

but on a couple even the wires were reversed. It was orig wire harness so went with it. i do see the red wire also have diff colors stripes in them too.

Wow Lisa, wonder wire go to top and side and bottom .
See manuel of the shop to se his writings.
Wire not found in shop to see, but seen in shop to find, next time shop show go to you, new wire not needed.
Trace blire to hole not feed to seaad, good to go but need time to fix wire.
Use new connect and then dissscoonectr old warre, new warre goes into any hole in one.

my side hurts

The injector does not care, as long as it is the correct 2 wires.

you sound like you been hanging with someone that has a tazer gun, me yeah well im a natural. danglerb may want people to move their desks away from eachother but u should move away from tazer. bbbbthats all folks!!!! anywho

the inj connectors all soldered red wires on left 7 and 1 red on the right, thats why i ask , i would have thought a pulse is a pulse and theyd be all the same way, if not is my harness wrong or am i ? nice to know that it didnt matter so long as there not all twisted around.

Done but still didint fix the cant restart car when reaches op temp til car cools down. not 02 sensor, not thermotime, not cold start valve, not inj or harness, not vac leak or fuel leak, not relay or fuse, or fpump, or fuel reg or dampers, not spark plug wires or distrib or greenwire, not grounds, not idle screw or throttle position switch or slack in cable.

do i have water in the gas or coolant bubble. like air mixture is off can i manually fix this i know idle screw but is there a air mix screw, whats the component on the crossbar, maf not working ??????

::cough::

I hate to criticize, and I suspect that some posts have been deleted...but I cannot follow this thread at all!

Though some posts may be been deleted due to carbonated malt beverages [something I'm more than guilty of~], I still have no idea what you folks are talking about. And is it that hard to type in complete sentences, using grammar? SHEESH! I'm not an English major, I hated that class with a passion in school, but if you want my mind to work on your problem [what this website is for-] then you need to communicate to me what is going on. Sorry to criticize, but I cannot help you if you can't tell me the symptoms properly!

N!

Lots of work on the car, US 82, everything checked, starts fine cold, used to run ok, but would not hot restart. Now starts cold, but only runs near idle speed, more throttle or less and it stalls.

My advice, back to basics, fuel, spark, compression. Compression doesn't seem too likely, spark or fuel?

BTW everything checked and still not working, means ...... check everything again.

Bad gas -car may idle, but won't run well or kill with load.
Coolant bubble-air lock in coolant circuit, car over heats but stays running till something blows.
Air mix screw-Fuel air mix. adjustment, under left front plenum runner, w/ idle correct, adjust clockwise = richer / counterclockwise= leaner.
To do this adjust correctly you should have CO tester on test port at Cat. and O2 sensor disconnected.
Doubt any of these are your problem, please explain symptoms again.
Engine fires and runs to OP. temp?
Runs and drives to OP. temp. then just kills?
Runs and drives to OP. temp. until shut off?
What have you tried when restarting, throttle open, closed, 1/2 ?
Do you have fuel, spark, etc.... when attempting restart?
Do you have WSM?
Would like to help but need more info.

John

Pretty sure she's been driving it. Got her brake light issue fixed too. Think she's working on cruise now.

yeah did the whole injector harness story cut harness soldered new connectors on, heat shrink em all , (ebay 15bucks or so. they didnt send eight had to resend 4more) tested them all click (free) noid light (cents)

inj went out for cleaning (100 bucks or so,were supposed to be a week ,10 days, lost for 7 weeks in mail)

-- got big/small seals from pelican (10 bucks) reinstalled connected ALL GOOD JOB WELL WORTH IT but
changed out all fuel lines, rails --- vac lines and still was almost perfect but something still not quit right (not a fuel prob but air stalling it) other than setting idle, tightning throttle cable, finj relay

under the car at cat pipe running along cat up through car Bracket holds this pipe (which the bracket is broken so only rubber hose connection is holding pipe from flopping down, weld? there? dangerous? the rubber tube was busted clamped at both ends connected to fuel dampner fixed that hose and 100% fix right there THAT WAS THE PROBLEM
