Dash removal question

Hi Guys

I want to remove my dash, since it is in a bad shape, in order to make a new padding (I hope it is the correct word...)
Anyway, I have downloaded a nice PDF that explains step by step how it is done.
My car is 1980 euro model and I was wondering how much time it takes to remove this dash if taking in account that 2 (amateur, yet highly motivated ) people are doing this procedure?
It is important for me to know that since I can work on the car only in the weekends so I must plan this adventure very well

Thanks!

to remove the dash it will take about 2 hours once you have some idea of what your doing.
.
Remove the pod and then the console then that dash is held with 4 screws
disconnect the battery first

Yeah, follow that readme you found and you'll do fine. There is a little finagling to get it out but the readme does explain this.

Here's some motivator pics for you. Also, you'll see I tried the repair DIY and that was a failure as soon as the sun hit it, it started to crack. I just took some pieces to Mexico and had them redo it.

Question

MP Dano,

Your seats, carpet and leather dash kick arse!! How much did the shop in Mexico charge to re-upholster the seats? Did the seats work fine after the work? You took both seats to them and they did the work during the day? How much?

Speaking of which, on my drivers' side seat, only the forward-back leaning function doesn't work. Does that mean the motor doesn't work? The tilt function and seat forward-back functions work....

MPDano...what can I say...Now I am highly motivated!!!
Small question: My seats are exactly like yours and one of the switches stopped working due to a shortcut inside the switch. I tried to pull it out but I couldnt. I assume it will be easier when the seat is out. Do you think it is possible to fix it while it is out? or should I buy a new one?

You can try and fix them, but your better off buying new ones. I got a new pair off of eBay. i don't the link off hand but will find it for you. The seats were not re-upholstered, they are exactly as I got them from DanglerB. I just ran some leather moisturizer on them.

Thanks for the compliments.
