It's a good post Griffinroydonal, even though at the end of it you sound mad, and think you're hurting 928ww or something.... Lets see if we can make you feel better.

OK.... no problem. This is the story once in a while. Someone doesn't know we have a warranty.

If that is so, it was not on purpose-that would be wrong if it was intentional.... More likely, ONE photo was used for 5 listings.... to save time, and transfer the related cost savings to you. Everyone is better off with actual photos of the product- me included. So recently, that's what we are putting out. I have learned to listen to the voice of the community- so speaking up is always welcome.

Ebay changed the equal opportunity feedback system [which isn't very fair]. Sellers can no longer leave negative feedback for buyers- which prevents me from any recourse when someone scams us on ebay- other than blocking bidders and complaining to ebay [which we do often enough].

As far as us never sitting at 100% feedback; it won't be because we didn't make a wholehearted effort to make everyone happy. It would be because 3 guys out of 100 got 3 parts out of 100 that just didn't work for them- and they "had no idea about our Wonderful Warranty". FOR EXAMPLE. The $5 free shipping- spare tire washer mentioned a few posts back has revised his feedback, because he didn't know of our warranty. That brought us to [in the last 30 days] 106 happy buyers and 1 unhappy buyer (I still maintain this 1 unhappy person tried to defraud us, and will believe so until I receive the return and RETEST the item for a second time).

I don't mean to be a smart ass sir, and would be glad to have the legions of problem orders you allege surface at any moment (as anyone who has watched me publicly deal with issues for the last two years already knows). I will gladly answer any request- private or public- because my answer is always the same:

WAS IT COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY?
OK.

But more than just that, I sincerely care about you- and want you to perceive value from your experience dealing with 928ww..... This is why I answer your last post. NOT to be a smart ass. To SHOW you that I care about you.

In the beginning; two years ago, from lack of experience we did make a few mistakes (wrong speedo, wrong bumper guard, shocks were bad instead of good, etc)- but even then we refunded or replaced anyone with an issue. There are no outstanding refunds/replacements which have not been handled- Even Ali is settled- the first post in this thread. Steve Davies will be remedied because he is working with me and playing nice. That's all it takes to deal with me.... I'm not your enemy- I love my customers, always have- no matter what I'm doing, and since I'm a car nut JUST LIKE YOU ALL, you mean that much more to me. As far as I can see, NOBODY EVER GETS A RAW DEAL from 928ww. If they feel they have, SPEAK NOW- or anytime for that matter

Kind Regards,
Mason

Steve,
I have reviewed your request- it looks like we took care of everything. I wish you luck.

Mason, I think that sort of response to a customer woud give this forum some concern. To say you have 'taken care of everything' is not the sort of response I would expect from a supplier who 'loved his customers'. You have not taken care of everything. All our transactions were via PAYPAL, therefore you coud prove your statement easily. Making throwaway statements only harms your business and your credability. My issue is now one of principle, I have sent you pictures of the damaged items, I have told you the transactions where you made the items unavailable after the auction ended and hence obtained money without having the goods to fulfi the order.

I think it is you who needs the luck, as your business attitude is not a sustainable one.

That is called false advertising. A lawyer could tell you that . And would have a field day with it. Getting money for something that you dont have is a jail-able a fence. I would get a lawyer on that ASAP.

Ok Steve, since you are so polite:

10-9-09 recv'd $125.
11-2-09 recv'd 249.94 But it was REVERSED- because you made a dispute
12-2-09 Refund for $125 sent to you.
12-16-09 $124.95 of the $249.94 is released to me.

That leaves you with a payment to us of $125 made for goods shipped to you- of which you requested recently by e-mail "There is another refund due for the 2 unavailabe parts of 50 dollars. This was not refunded"

This is the refund you are asking for- which at first appeared to be an error. I apologize for the misunderstanding. Sometimes it is hard to understand what PayPal means when they say things like "payment held". That looked for a moment like you actually owed us.... And I get so many people trying to pull a fast one over here that I'm constantly on guard.

NO PROBLEM.

And the taking money without having the parts is a rare event, usually related to a part breaking upon removal, storage and handling, or straight up getting lost....
To suggest we defraud people in the EBAY AGE is purely stupid, and sonnett takes the trophy.

Have a nice weekend blokes ....

I was going to buy a rear bummper off of you on ebay and there was a price for shipping that you had on there a flat rate and then you email me and said that It was going to be more like in the hundreds. But I guys you will just say I DON'T RECALL THAT.

Why is it so expensive for a used one?

I bought one new from one vendor on the other forum for 85$.

928ww

Mason, thanks for the resolution. Glad its now sorted out. I think some of our emails were crossed at the end.
Well Mason was true to his word, the situation is resolved. He is a honourable guy. If you have an issue with 928WW talk to the man and he will get there. My experience is it takes time, I guess Mason is doing many jobs and refunding customers is way down the list of priorities. Observing his site he is addressing some of the issues I had eg using old photographs for parts. The photos now seem to represent the actual part being sold/auctioned.
Building loyalty in such a small community is key, addressing grumpy customers goes a long way to do that.

If you shop around and find some in as good condition as these, Anyway, Mason is negotiable, I got these for a fraction of what he first asked, plus a left rear bearing hub, fan hub, and much more. Again people, these are USED Parts, you can't expect someone to take something off of a 20 something year old car and have it be like new.
Even though there are a lot of people flaming Mason, I have not had any problems at all, all you need to do is call and talk.

He doesn't mean "I found some in as-new condition for $85".. he means brand-new ones, from Porsche, in their wrapping, cost $85.

85/86 are NLA. I sold a set for either $100 or $120 shipped last year.

Some sellers advertise parts for sale sometimes, but never mention that it's been out of stock since '99, and the part has been NLA since '98.... lol.

Thanks to JCB928 for a refreshing post.

Are these the same?

PORSCHE 928 S4 / S2 AIR DUCK PIPES on eBay (end time 26-Mar-10 17:58:47 GMT)

Postage is cheaper UK to US than the other way round from my experience as well.
They look different though?

Regards
Paul
