928 Recalls?
Since we're all big on the Runaway Priuses and Toyota Recalls lately, what about all the Porsche 928 Recalls. I see a lot of them for different years. Are these still good? If so, how can you tell whether your car has had them done or not done?

It can be found online; unless you are in China, use Google to search your year. Offhand I don't completely remember what it was, but there was a recall to install a heat shield around the catalytic converter on some cars. My car is an S2, and I think this only applied to the S3 cars, since the S2 never had a catalytic converter.
-There should be another recall to replace the weak fuel hoses next to the firewall. The original car came with a two year warrantee, so in my case I was out of luck on July 12, 1987, since the sticker on the drivers door on my car says that was the delivery date. This car wasn't recalled much. A late Toyota is a borderline dangerous vehicle; Much like a "Pit-bull terrier" pet, this thing can bite you in a big way, and you don't get ANY warning. The dog, which has been tiny, slight, and very quiet the past 6 years suddenly goes CRAZY and latches onto someone's arm. Same thing with the Toyota: Apparently, suddenly it can go completely CRAZY and now your Prius is screaming down the highway at 100 mph! ::That is apparently the top speed of this car; several owners have told police officers, and several police officers have clocked these things at 101 mph...when they have gone COMPLETELY WILD!:: YoTota seems to think that this is a sticking throttle, a part manufactured by a separate company. This is bull**** as far as I am concerned; Toyota wants to paste the blame on a part supplied by a supplier, trying to avoid the blame for several deaths. I don't buy it at all! This is THEIR responsibility, first of all. They BOUGHT the part that they say causes the problem. That means that it is THEIR responsibilty, all those deaths, and all the repairs that result are THEIR RESPONSIBILITY. They screwed up, they used a part that was bad, and now people are dead and they can pay out Billions of dollars as a result. That is how it works. We certainly need tort reform, but we also need a CPSC [Consumer Product Safety Commission ] with a few BALLS. Republicans don't want this~ N! |

Machinery making machinery just keeps massing itself no quality control.
i remember a 9.99 toaster works for 15-25 yrs. now your lucky you get two weeks to 6months at a starting price of 60bucks up. Knobs, elements, timers dont (ding) shut down, the food wont heat evenly. People were testing and producing so when the assemblying subassemblying and testing was done you could see potential problems and STOP STOP STOP!!!! Machinery making machinery *ucks when you can produce a million a sec chicken.meat, vegetables, candy everything with no safety inspections along the way then your hearing mass recalls too late, to much waste , time , money. reputation, jobs, all kinds of lives, livelyhood, economy ...... awful awful |
