weird water leak inside the car

Hi Guys

We had a lot of rain lately and when I got into the car, I have noticed that the entire passenger carpet is wet.
The thing is that I looked more carefully and it seems that the water got into the car from behind the glove compartment
or from the fan area since all that are is completely wet...

Does anyone know where I should look in order to seal that leak?

Thanks!

it is probably the blower box seal leaking this requires the blower box be removed and new 3M strip caulk applied there is also a small hole under the RF fender at the rear where water can come in , this is then dependent on how the car is parked.
First look up at the blower box see if the threads are rusted this is an indication of water leaks

Damn it...when I was restoring my dash bored I tried to remove the blower box but I couldnt...I think that in my attempts I damaged the seal
If I couldn't remove it on the first time, how am I going to do it now?

First drop the CE panel after disconnecting the battery,
put a towel over the Ce panel.
Disconnect the blue hose under the plastic cowl in the engine compartment just in front of the wiper motor.

remove the nuts from the blower box, then remove the 2 blower motor mount screws from the top and the single bolt from the bottom then gently pry down, the blower

Also i suggest to limit the use of wierd in your post headers as it will make looking for this in the future easier to find

Check to see if the black plastic shield cover under the hood near the firewall is missing or cracked.

CE panel is located at the feet of the passenger. Just pull down the carpet and you'll see a wood panel that you can lift up. You CE panel consists of all your Fuses and Relays. I think CE stands for Central Electrical

Question on the rusted blower threads; mine are rusty above the CE panel, I thought this was an indication of a leaking seal (it still may be) but I also notices some rusty threads under the driver side dash, similar style/location to the passenger side. As far as I know there is nothing on the driver side of the car that could leak and cause those threads to rust like the pass. side, so I am wondering how good an indication of a leak the rusted threads above CE panel are? Or are these rusted areas just a result of our cars being 25+ years old? Has anyone else noticed this?
