Kid on the way....

So i waited so long for this car but just got word that a baby is on the way. momma said i can keep it but cant continue to dump funds into it, so im trying to trade it off for almost anything. wouldnt mind a finished 944/951. Since you all helped me with my car, i wanted to say thank you. i will pass this board on to a new owner. I will have another 928 someday. If i talked to you about parts, i still need them. My link: For Sale or Trade: 928S Porsche
Make any offer if interested.

951 costs more to keep running in tip top shape than a 928. Have had two of each. I liked my 325i.

I've owned 4 minivans, and wore out 3. IMHO Chrysler still does it the best.
I would'nt get rid of the 928 though. Whats one more car to insure? Besides, a minivan wont get to the Maternity Ward as quickly

oh no mini van. i'll bolt a car seat to the roof and buy the kis sunglasses before i get a mini van. i would love a beemer. had posted on craigslist all over the region. lots of odd offers. if anyone is looking for a bunch of chickens and an ipod, i know a guy.
just went for a 120mph drive. i dont think i could get rid of it. it runs so well with exeption to a rear control arm, no a/c and hanouse interior.

BTW if you search a few threads you will find that a few good baby seats exist for the 928.

I may have to. I have listed my ad 4 times in the past 15 min. Some one on craigslist is following me around the region and having my ad deleted. very frustrating. Prob the guy selling his for $8500. Just listed this one. I bet its gone in 10 min.

I just stumbled into it from your Keg link.

Didn't realize Craigslist could be manipulated like that. Wow.
List it on ebay or local paper and trading post.

Or slide a little radio ad in there...

Where's the $8500 car advertised? Must be pretty fantastic. Running early cars can be bought every day for sub $4K.

IIRC, yours is in pretty good, clean shape and needed some minor work. I bet you could refresh those window motors and fix the suspension for $200.

Ya i know that but some folks are a bit more proud of their parts.
Anyone can "flag" a craigslist ad. Then it gets deleted.
I dont do Ebay. I opened an ebay and paypal acct, listed my boat and sold it.
Paypal seized the account becouse it was suspiciouse that a payment came thru and wanted me to provide proof that i bought the boat, then proof i delivered it, then proof that the guy who bought it, has it and all kinds of crap. ebay couldnt pull their payment from paypal so they locked that acct too. i was the horror story of the month at PayPal Alternative - Pay Pal Lawsuits, PayPal Complaints & Fraud.
This is what put me in the situation im in now. Im still fighting with them for $6k

I think it's 928 331 101 02. In the diagram, it doesnt look right to me. I thought this part attached to the underbody. Im going to have to look under the car. maybe take a pic if i had to.

Ok, just peeked t it. i'll call it upper control arm. its a dog bone shaped thing going from the inside of the wheel to the lower control ar, which i just replaced. looks like the wheel side is ok but the frame side has a semi bent bolt and all the rubber is cracked up. i need the bolt and washer too.

I know what an upper control arm is, but I have boxes with parts from various sources, model years, etc, and no way to know which goes to what except by matching the number on the part.

Picture with the number in focus enough to read, or pict and number typed in post.

Steering U joint is $50 from 928Intl 928 International-USED Steering Joint Knuckle
