I pretty much did most of the prep myself. They did resand the satin primer off and found some body imperfections, but their painting is far from what I call minimum standard. I paid for all the Primer, Basecoat Paint and Satin Clear myself. I paid about around $1500 for the Paint Shop to Spray "and" it took 7 months. You have to read the whole thread to appreciate how "NOT" using a Referral Paint Shop.

I was able to buy a complete grill assembly from Ender928. The only problem was that it was painted red and one of the Horizontal Slats (Aluminum part) was broke in half. I knew this getting into it and Ender928 gave me a good deal.

Anyways, used Aircraft Remover (paint remover) to remove the paint from all pieces. I thought it would melt the plastic pieces but it worked great and just bubbled off the paint.

I then repaired the broken slat using JB Weld and sanding it down nice a flat. I then painted all the Metal Pieces (metal slats) with Trim Paint since I've had great luck with this stuff not peeling off, especially on parts that hit the wind constantly. Re-assembled and using blue locktite on the screws. Walla, a Grill that looks like newski.

Tomorrow I install my Front Spoiler and Grill.

Hey Leo the grill looks fantastic; once again, nice work. As far as black trim paint; are you using Duplicolor (in the green can)? Thats the paint I used on all of my trim pieces (both plastic and aluminum) and the results were excellent.

Installed the Front Spoiler, Front Grill and all the Side and Windshield Trims and Body Water Channel. Gonna take better pics in the morning since a lot of them seem washed out by the sun.

First of all, that is an incredible car. Love the paint. It looks so finished.

Am wondering, though, how matching flat grey aero mirrors and normal colored phone dials would look. And 8 inch H4's.

Unbelievable car. Major league skill to save this car.

car looks cool, the grill looks great.
front spoiler can be cut with a template so you can add the airducts.
I am with Chris the wheels look off compared to the rest of the car as do the mirrors, maybe painted gunmetal with a satin finish to compliment the rest of the car.
Of course it could look really trick in person

Looks really good, Leo. I like the gloss black wheels against the satin grey. I'm undecided on the mirrors though...I'll reserve comment until I see it in person :-)

Thanks Gentlemen. Still gotta get the Inside Door Panels sorted but I have to get the Door Locks fixed by my Powdercoater. They are stuck since they were Powdercoated. He'll need to heat them up to loosen them with the Key. Then I can put the Panels back on.

I might send my Fuel Distributor out to get Serviced since I don't like the hesitation when doing slow throttle up. Pretty confident it's in the Distributor. Then I can Smog it or attempt to Smog it anyways.

Took some more photos this morning, but this time it's nice and cloudy (no sun). I also used my camera which has a higher pixel count.

Here ya go!

Thanks Guys! I dropped off my Door Locks at the Powdercoaters since they were Powdered and the Key part would not turn.
