Owning a 928 is risky business - but sometimes you just gotta say "what the fudge".

Contact Porsche USA and ask for the "cardex" for your car. Supposedly, there is a card in Stuttgart for nearly every car they've ever built that details the car and its options and colors. I think it actually tells the completion date, the day that it was rolled onto the truck after the 10 km of testing at their Weissach test track.

if you look in the driver side door jamb you will find a black sticker with the VIN number and also a build date ,
if its gone then you will have to get it from Porsche,
you can order a build on date certificate,
its about 75.00,
look online for the down loadable page to fill out
