Hi Tobias

At least you have started with a '79 which should have CIS and relatively simple wiring. I'm afraid I can't help you directly but the simple way is to strip out your existing loom it just takes time and plenty of logic, it pays to have everything working to start with, so you can start the engine after every time you cut a wire. It takes a little time but as you go along you get a feel for it.

I know all this as I recently used a modern car as a donor and had to go through this procedure, The resultant mass of removed wiring is enormous.

Good Luck, Oh, are you using the 928 transmission in your mid engined creation?

Cheers Roy

You need to talk to Rich who put a 928 engine in his 914. It's called the "Alien" and looks pretty sweet. Not sure which year he used though. Search alien and I am sure it will come up.

Awesome man. My dads doing the same thing except making a replica of the 917-30 with a 1980 motor with a twin turbo set up. Good luck on the project. Keep the updates coming!

Dreaming or doing? If this is an ongoing project, please share some details and pictures. That sounds like an amazing project.
