Once I can find someone around my area I will look at having them come over to take a look at it with me to help me check it out. But here are a few pictures that I have taken of the car so far. They look like the period BBS Rims, big bucks back in the day. Hard to get rid of in todays times. Looks like they are missing the Caps which cover the lugs. Gbstowers can verify, he runs them.

Well I wont be looking to sell them. I will be looking at redoing the chrome on the outside rim and cleaning up the rest. I think that will look really good with a fresh coat of black paint.

Here's what gbstowers did to his. You might want to ask him about those BBS Wheels. Maybe he'll have some insight on where to gain some Caps for those. They look awkward without them, or maybe not. They probably would look good matching those center caps in black.

I have started to read through that thread. A lot of good information that may apply to my situation as well. A good read for sure. And I do like how those look. Just trying to keep it as much as original as possible.

I don't these are the exact cap but similar to complete your Rims. On eBay from time to time.

Well it will be a while before I am ready to worry about all that but thanks for all the info. And Neil that is one clean looking car. I'm betting that it runs as good as it looks. And love the rims.

And from the look of those BBS rims and those caps I don't think those are the correct ones to go on my rims. I'm tempted to say that there is not supposed to be a cap on mine.

Thanks for comments on the silver car, it was a real basket case when i got it - took 4 months working about 20 hrs a week to get it to where it is in that picture.
Its a Euro, and it is a rocket - most euros were rated at 310 and some made 340 hp! This one will dust the 86 I have!
Clean off the inside of the rim and look carefully, you should find the manufacturers name or initials somewhere on it.

I did go out and look at the rims. They are in fact BBS rims but not like the ones that you guys have shown pictures of. I have 2 numbers that I found on the front of the wheel. I am going to do a bit of research (googling) to see if they will pull up any information. But here are those numbers. 0484 and 0252020.

Why wouldn't they be? Your first pic of the Wheel says "BBS" stamped on them ;)

Your right, they are a little different than the normal ones I've seen (like Neils). Find those Caps and Refinish them, they will look pretty sweet on your ride. I'll keep a look out on the BBS model. BTW, those numbers pull up nada in Google.

But the only thing is that my rims have a cut out where the valve stem is.... And I havent been able to find that on any pictures of rims I have found. I took many more pictures today and will post them tonight to give a full view of the rims that I have.

And I didnt notice the BBS showing in the pictures that I took untill after I posted that lol.

So I have been pricing tires for my car incase I need some and I have run into a problem.... I cannot find any 245 50 15s. I only found one place that has any and that is this Hoosier R6

Anyone tried to find this size? Or should I just use 245 60 15s?

245's?? Stock tires are 225/50/15 or 16 as far as I know. What Wheels are these for? The Stock Manhole Covers or BBS's?

You will see better in the pictures that I'm going to upload when I get home but on my BBS rims the tires are 245 50vr15s. And they are Goodyear tires.

-edit after thinking about how the BBS rims look on the car now and how the tires fit I dont think that I can use 245 60 15s as they would rub the fender wells i believe. and the stock manhole rims have 245s on them as well.... im going to verify everything when I get off work but I'm at a loss now.

This is what you will find out soon enough, but this is the big reason why a lot of 928 Owners have moved to 17 and up. The sizes for 15 are more scarce than the 16" Wheels. Your call, it's gonna get real hard to get what you want in those Stock Wheels.

Here are a few better shots of the wheels. I would like to keep these as I do like them and it would be cheaper to keep these than to buy new one.... depending on tires. Currently there are good tires on them so that is a bonus. Gives me a while before I have to worry about it. Might keep these and put those Hoosier tires on it for the track and other things once the time comes....

The only thing about these that I question is if the cut out for where the valve stem is was done by BBS or if it was custom...

That does not look right - that cutout compromises the strength of the wheel - maybe a BBS center on a non BBS rim?
Oh, and it would not pass technical inspection at a track event....

Is there a way I can verify the rim?
