Cleaning Garage - Parts for Sale

Hi, I am new to this site but not to 928s. I need to clean out Garage and have some left over items I would like to part with. Please PM if interested:

1. Muffler for a 1986 or earlier Porsche 928.

2. Shorty headers for a 1988 or later Porsche 928 S4

3. Rear spoiler and side wings for a 1986 928S

4. Set of spark plug wires for a 1988 928 S4 fits other years

5. Wire harness for 1986 928 S

Thanks

Frank

The Wire harness is in good condition, however, belt tensioning signal wire is missing. The spark plug wires have about 65K miles and were working perfectly when pulled from car. See picture below. I will take $100 for each plus shipping.

Have you disassembled the wire from the connectors and inspected for damage? Wires can llok good, but the connections are all inside. Might know someone that need a set, but need a better look to justify the price. Thanks!

Anyone know if the muffler will fit an 86.5?

If so, I'm interested.

Pretty sure all the Pumpkin Mufflers were all the same inside, they just differ where they mounted (ears) by year. This one kinda looks it was a dual in though. I would think any competent muffler shop could install it for you. I too have an 83 Pumpkin sitting in my backyard.

Please note that I probably should not have posted in this forum parts for sale. Sorry. I reposted with the prices in the Parts for Sale forum. Anyhow here are the answers:

I did not disconnect the connectors on the sparkplug wires but will check. I had replaced them with fatter wires so there was not anything wrong with them, but will check for corrosion etc, and repost.

Muffler came off a 1986.5, so its a direct fit.

The shorty headers came off a 1988 S4 and have 3 hole bolt pattern, so will not fit a 16v or early 32v with two bolt pattern, I think.

Thanks for your interest.

Those connectors & my $89 Red Beru (or black) wire set, you'd have a brand new set of wires.

Funny, I too have a set of S4 manifolds & an S3 harness

Hey Mark

Thanks for the thought. I think that would be a great deal for someone that needed relatively inexpensive wires.
