Hey guys, as I wait until my doors are on my building...(Thursday I hope!)..I am gathering some parts....

I will be reassembling the fuel system post-haste....I think I want to do some maintenance on the fuel distributor before I pump in some push water....

Is this the right kit....?? Recommendations??

Why, just get yours rebuilt by a pro. I had mine done using a vendor who sometimes posts on ebay. Cost about $47, I believe. It was cleaned and all o-rings, etc replaced with new. He has a shop somewhere on the east coast but can't think of the name off hand.

If that's all you have to do I'd be amazed. I'm with Dano, The parts kit you posted is like cleaning the vains of someone with heart disease or better yet, setting someones leg who broke every bone in their body.

If you want to make sure the fuel distributor is good, have it rebuilt and they will replace everything in that kit, plus all innards of the distributor as well. That kit is only for superficial outside distributor things and would only affect your system pressure.

My advice if your having running problems (starts and then stalls, or runs bad at any stage including warm is to have your distributor rebuild and get a rebuild Warm-Up regulator. Install those two items and you will probably have a running 928. Not a given, but absolutely in the right direction.

All that kit is is a new system pressure regulator valve and shims. Hardly a full "rebuild kit".
And that's one K-jet part I've never had any issues with.

I stand corrected on price, I think this is the same company who rebuilt mine. Maybe email them and find out the name and post it. They charge $149. Well worth it as it comes back looking and operating like new.

I have seen the rebuild service before, and may actually do that....I don't know if mine has any problems..it might just be fine, as I have not gotten to put my fuel tank and lines back together yet...I was thinking about checking the tiny screens, and stumbled across that kit on ebay, which got me thinking about taking it all apart, cleaning it, and put it back together with some new parts, prior to her first start since '93.

remember, I am a tinkerer / DIY'er, and want to tear it apart myself

I may just send it out tho'..that's pretty cheap

HEY! not only do I have that one already saved in my watch list...I just noticed that they are located like 15min. from my house!!!
