Very difficult after seeing my x car treated so ordinary !!

Hello.
Met my Friend who purchased my former vehicle to receive the rest of payment.

The car was dirtier than it's ever been. It was covered in a thick layer of dust and had some mud along the bottom.
The wheels were filthy and covered with brake dust.

The interior was a mess with dirt and some garbage on the floor.
The back cover was just strewn about.
I had to really stay quiet. My Son was very upset at the state of the car.
I realize that it isn't my car anymore BUT this friend of mine doesn't realize what he has.

If I were deciding on one of the cars you have listed I'd look into a used Lotus Elise, they are extremely affordable, quick, reliable, fuel efficient and amazing to look at and drive. They have depreciated nicely and can be financed.
That is a keep forever car, my friend has one.

You have something there.
I just purchased a -Mag Book- from the U.K for, can you believe it $25.00!

Called LOTUS LEGENDS.-From Seven to Evora.

A real eye opener.
Worth every penny.
A buying guide - Performance guide and educational as heck.

I am just worried about being in a collision in one of those.

I cannot afford to buy any of these dream cars at the moment but it is very entertaining to read about them.
Thanks for the heads-up.

Once its sold you gotta hold your nose. Three of our cars we treated like babies we found out about later on. One we got a notice on that it had been abandoned and towed and had been sitting in an impound lot to the tune of $35/day if we wanted to pay storage and fines we could "recover" it even though we were not currently registered owners. One went to a coworker and got driven into the ground. One went to another coworker who kept it running for a number of years.

The rare one is my parents selling a car with hundreds of thousands of miles to friends who semi restored it and handed it off to two generations.

Lotus is the English version of Porsche, all about lightness etc.
The 5+ year old Elises sell in the mid $20s to $30K I think.
They were about $50k new i believe. Toyota power.
I don't know how safe they are in an accident, my advice would be to buy a orange one so you are seen. Ever notice how many old orange air cooled VWs are left on the road?
Definitely do not buy a silver small car.
There was a true story i read in Excellence or Panorama about two silver 356s that hit each other head on in CA on a coastal road because they couldn't see one another.

It wasn't even my car and I feel sick...
If I were the new owner, the car would be garage royalty.
