Check out this abomination!! :O

So many things wrong with the car in this ad, words don't even begin to discribe it... jeez. Who the hell crafts the front end of a FRENCH family saloon onto a 928? WHY - oh the horror!

+

=

ONLY someone depressed, lonely, and with a vengeance on the world would do that. Or in this case, some 60-year-old bloke from the Faroe Islands, which pretty much amounts to the same thing...

Link to the ad:
Porsche 928 5,4 3d. GTS - Brugt bil til salg på BilBasen.dk - Privat - BilBasen

Oh and he want's $68.000 for someone to take this beauty of his hands, or as he describes it: "The finished product, had Porsche only had the nerve to continue with the 928".

AAAAAASSHOOOOOOOLE

Owning a 928 is risky business - but sometimes you just gotta say "what the fudge".

Nothing wrong with the strippers, it's what they're sitting on

Looking at the rear, I sorta almost don't entirely hate it. If it were silver or black, with some standard taillights or maybe smoked it would be ok.

Wait until he finds out Porsche is bringing back the 928.

It's definitely ugly but took a lot of effort.

Nice photography though, i like the use of light and composition.

Got a source on that claim? Because its not happening. There were "rumors" as of 2007(?) Which are unsubstantiated wholly and entirely.

Also, I would drive the **** out of that car, very unique. Do not like the paint, but it looks good body wise and the work and fitment appear to be quality. I understand a lot of Porsche owners are prudes when it comes to these cars though. I mean that in the nicest way possible, just saying,

I dunno'....it's different... kinda cool, looks like a lot of work went into it, so, I can appreciate it.

Babes are hot, too!

I wonder if they come with the car if you buy it?

Design is fussy which = bad. Porsche designs live so long because they are understated and grow on you deeper and deeper. It a subtle thing. I think this car looks more Japanese than German Porsche. I wouldn't be caught dead in it but to each their own.
I am not holding my breath but I think they will build it because it will open up another market. I'd buy one before a new Carrera.

I'm going to just cross post my post from the other thread.

Aha this isn't even real, note the caption on the image

"Porsche 929 design study [Illustration: Julliana Cho via Carscoop"

Illustration. Its not even a concept.

Again;
" Last year, media outlets went wild on a rumor suggesting an all-new entry-level sports car slotting beneath the Boxster. What's more, a new high-performance mid-engine sports car based on the MMB platform was also said to face off against the likes of the Lamborghini Gallardo and Ferrari 458. Unfortunately, neither model has been given the official green light.

Lastly, Porsche is looking to further diversify its lineup with another 4-door sports sedan aimed at the BMW 5-series to slot under the popular Panamera.

While these rumors have circulated among car blogs for months already, we expect some positive confirmation on new models from the Stuttgart automaker in the months ahead."

This is basically a blog post rehashing the same old rumor with ZERO announcement from Porsche and using some car illustrators picture at the bottom. Again, none of this comes from Porsche so I think its just more blog speculation.

It doesn't even look anything like the 928!

The economy sucks world-wide. That alone will probably dictate it not happening.
I don't like the CAD drawing either, ugly.
Who ever would have thought Porsche would build an SUV though.
I still think it would be a great addition to the line up as the Panamera is just too big and a Carrera is just to small.
