Hmmm, well okay, I guess I will get this party started.
I will be coming from Chattanooga, TN in my rarely driven 1979......hopefully fully assembled by that time. I will be traveling on Friday with a local S4 owner through Knoxville and will try to coordinate with others passing that same route. I hope that one of those folks will be my 19 year old son in his 85, but with kids I guess you never know, lol.

I'll be there. Going after work Friday, although I have not booked my room yet (doh)! I plan on leaving right after work, so I should be there about 9:00pm. I will be driving the truck, and am hoping to get my hands on a trailer to tow #30 behind me...
Coming from Charlotte area, party of one, although Mike P MIGHT be following or co-piloting! Last edited by AirtekHVAC; 04-04-2013 at 03:49 AM.. |

Ron, As far as I know I will be going. I should know more as it gets closer. This would be my first. Looking forward to it.

SHARKS IN THE MOUNTAINS 2013
16th Annual 928 Specialists Customer Appreciation Event Date: May31st thru June 2nd, 2013 Best event east of the Mississippi, IMHO. Seems like there are a couple 928 owners in Harrisburg and several in the DC region. You might be able to get a small caravan together for the trip. On a side note we have a new 93GTS owner in Chattanooga that will be joining our group for the trip. The more the merrier and for me, safety in numbers.

Outbackgeorgia, what time are you leaving for SITM on Friday? I'm planning a Friday departure also maybe we can ride up together and maybe with a few others. Let me know if interested.

Thinking about going if I can. What time do you plan to leave from Chattanooga. I am coming from Murfreesboro and could drive up with you if possible.

Hey Sharkbit---we really don't have a time set yet. We are all off that Friday but have not gotten any further than that. We MUST leave by noon. The scenic route will take 7 1/2 hours or just take the interstate in about half that time. Check your PM for my cell. There are a couple of others in the greater Nashville area that you may want to check with as well.

Hi Rich,
Going by myself, so can leave anytime. Would like to get there by 9 or so. I am just off 400 so could meet anywhere along the way. Dave |

I'm still a "maybe". If I can get the clutch/throw out bearing issues taken care of, I'll be there. Nothing but time and money - both of which are in short supply this month. I'll be coming from south of ATL, but my route will probably bypass it anyway. I may be able to meet up with some folks if anyone is going through Greenville, SC. There is a route that goes through Bat Cave, NC that I want to revisit.

I am thinking of going up 985, 441/23 to Waynesville, then east on 40 to Marion, up 221, 195, 184 on to Banner Elk.
I don't like interstates, boring. Could take the BRP, but will do that coming back. Dave |

Outbackgeorgia, I was planning on leaving around noonish but I'm flexible. I'm comming from Newnan so as long as we can find a good time to leave and meet up it would be great to drive up together. anakilat get that car taken care of and we'll have us a convoy of 928's

Well, if I can get a trailer from someone, I will be towing #30 up, so I will take the most boring route...77 to 421 into Banner Elk...

Well, it looks like I won't be going after all. We just had our offer accepted on a house so I will be spending my time preparing my house for sale. We will be moving into the new house the weekend of SITM. If all goes both of our other houses will be closed by that time. Very excited about the new 928 dedicated garage at the new place..., but the 79 is going in mothballs for now.
