Early Protective Plate/Bellypan?

I can't find a part number anywhere on the part and have never seen one before. Is this a pan for my 85? Thanks.

Looks like most of one, I looked for a LONG time, but thin metal close to the ground doesn't die of old age.

No, I don't think so at all.

I've got a few here, will try to snap a picture today and upload.

My main computer has got a virus situation going on, so have got to find a way to get pictures into this MAC.

Thanks for the replies.

No need for pix Landseer. You would know what one looks like. I found this piece in hatch of the 85 I am putting on the road and was hopeful it was a proper pan.

Prior to the S4, I thought full belly pans were a myth... like the yeti.
I've not seen one, but have heard that they existed.

My 86 has the plate that runs from the nose to front end of oil pan. Was there ever additional hardware in early models?

If you look hard enough you can see a chunk gone on the pan (wasn't me).
Hammered back and painted. Cardinal red my friends.

Thanks Dave. So, that's what they look like. My hunk of plastic isn't even close.

No sweat BigBlock.
You never know, it might fit well. That little window would even provide access to radiator plug.

928 504 941 04 NLA protective plate, its just that section mostly under the radiator. Later models have a second section that goes past the cats.

You should take that to a fab shop and get them to copy it, or make a cardboard template and send it out for folks to get their own made....

Underside of your '86 looks great Dave, nice and clean and dry.

The metal is really thin, so you might be able to make a wooden form to pound them out on or something.

I'm planning on something more structurally rigid mounted to the frame rails.

Thanks Matt, it is because of an unhealthy compulsion with the car.

I had to work the Swedish Five-Banger today.

The car has a really nice belly pan, and reminded me of this thread.

The Ssss was in the next bay, confused as to why she was not the one being worked on.
