My thoughts was to get high $3K area. Fixed, I am going to put in an ad in Craigslist for 5K +. What I didn't mention is that it has a Fosgate Amp and Fosgate 12 inch sub, Polk Door Speakers and Fosgate Tweets in the doors. Everyday I think about what I need to do to prepare my garage to tackle this, then I talk myself out of it

Leo, you can do it! I remember how much you loved driving the S compared to the Euro 3spd when you first got it. Fix it, drive it for another year or two, and then sell it
These cars are going one way value-wise, and that is up following the explosion in air cooled 911-prices, people are looing elsewhere in the P-family - you bought it for $900. You'll never be able to do a deal like that again.

Yeah, a lot of work since the $900 purchase. The car was un-smoggable, hence the full intake refresh and black powdercoating. Rims that were so ghetto and the offsets were wrong. Brand new rims powdercoated as well. Sheesh, so much work back then, and that this purchase was only done because the painter on my Euro was taking so long. Another story.

Why not sell it for 5k AND leave it for someone else to fix? It seems to me folks who look for these vehicles want to work on them also. Why deny them that opportunity? I think appreciation for these vehicle comes FROM working on them, not just purchasing one ready to drive, with no personal investment of time, money, energy or skinned, busted nuckles from working on them. ![]() _____________________ 1986 928 AUTOMATIC MUSCATBRAUN METALLIC FOR SALE |

Did some vacuuming and started her up and did some rounds around my neighborhood. I really miss driving her. That Torque Noise is annoying though. Took some pics that I am going to post up on Craigslist. See if I can get some takers.

Leo,
If it was me, I'd buy those neoprene floormats for $7 that Harbor Freight sells (in fact, I did!) and slide them under the carpet. Then, crank up that stereo of yours and roll back the sunroof. All you'd hear is your tunes and the rumble of the exhaust. That should see you through til spring, when the days are longer and warmer, the income tax refunds come in... and I can buy it from you! Lol! |

You might try contacting your local PCA Club. Maybe someone there might be interested. Also, I use to sell in Hemming's Motor News.

Leo I would skip those first two picts where the paint looks kind of beige instead of gold. Use some picts with a better backdrop than open garage door.

Good call Mike. I got a few hits so far. If it doesn't sell by this weekend. I'll update the body pics.

MPDano,
You're really tempting me with your 928. I have been thinking about getting one for some time now. I am still not sure which model yr I want, and I know I would like to put a wide body kit on it. My other half would kill me if I brought that home right now, for I still have a 944T that's been sitting in pieces for some time now and I would have to get rid of that first. I have to look at some properties I manage down in El Cajon and at the beach next month. If you haven't sold it by then maybe I will come take a look at it. |

Sold my LEO928S this morning. It was sad but at the same time glad she is going to a good multiple 928 owner. He lives in Las Vegas and will be bringing her to Greg Browns in Anaheim to get the TT and leaky Tranny fixed after he gets his other 928 out of Gregs shop.
You can't get rid of me though, since I still got the LEOS928 Matte Black Euro

Thanks guys. Yeah, I really like the Euro better. The CIS is a lot more throttle responsive. At some point, I need to get the 4 speed Euro tranny in her.
Cleaned out the mouse nest under the intake yesterday and started her up for about 15 minutes. Oh man, does she sound mean. At least now I can concentrate on one.

Congrats on the sale Leo, the focus on one maybe should be at the top of the stickies. Its so easy to get lost in going back and forth because you don't have to get "one" fixed.
