928 engine into a 944 NA... does it works?
I have a complete body of a porsche 944 NA from ´86, the engine was stolen two years ago.....too bad.....
Anyway, I was wandering if the porsche 928 V8-engine would fit into the 944, I want to restore the car, but also I want to restore a car with some more Hp´s.....I´ve heard that there is a converssion with chevy engines, but a porsche without a porsche engine............ is no porsche at all...... so, if any one can help on this.........thanks.......... |

In my opinion a 944 with a 928 engine is not a Porsche either. Don't know but since a 944 was 1/2 of a 928 there may be issues with suspension / handling. Just guessing...

Short answer is no, a 928 engine will not fit in a 944.
