Rebuilding wiring harness
I have most of the parts to rebuild the front engine wiring harness on my 928 but need help locating a 5/16" ring terminal. This ring terminal connects to the back of the alternator and holds two 6 AWG cables (other branches to the starter). The factory uses a crimp style 5/16" ring terminal but I can't even find one that will be able to hold two 6AWG cables. Any leads?

Terminal Lug -
Hey Dan - Many welding supply stores have high quality terminal lugs of all sizes. Their cables and accessories are a bit expensive but they usually carry the best stuff. There are plenty of places on the internet for such items but the problem with trying to chase down a few individual electrical connectors there is that they want to sell you box car worth.

Michael, you and I seem to have a lot of the same ideas.
+1 on the welding shop idea. I bought 13 feet of #0 welding lead from my local welding supply to replace a burnt out main power cable from the battery to the starter. The welding shop installed the ring terminal for me at no charge. The total cost was $45 and my starter sounds like a high-torque starter when I turn the key. The original part from Porsche was $200 and $500 depending on the MY of the car.
