1984 Fuch 16x7 Wheels

The 1984 928 I recently purchased has two damaged wheels. When I had tires mounted I was told that the previous owner must have lost the key (?) to the locking lug nuts. Now I find that the recessed lug nut area has been repeatedly drilled completely through. Any reasonably priced rims would be appreciated.

They have what I call a flat face - the mechanic said the size was 16x7

Can anyone advise me on what the price should be for this type of used rims ?

Thanks, Karen

E-mail me a picture of the wheels on your car. Fuchs won't fit a 928, you either have Phone dials

or flats.

1984 928 Wheels -

The mechanic had called the wheels Fuch ? I am told that the ones I have are flat faced 16x7 and not the "Phone Dial". Several people have responded with wheels - is there a difference between years other than the finish ? For 1984 they appear to be a light gold in color but this may be from age -

Thanks,
Karen

Yes, they did come with a gold tint, I'll check my stash, but I don't think I have any gold ones, of course, you could have the 2 good ones polished out like the 2 I posted pictures of.

1984 928 Wheels

I would like to resonability match all four 16x7 wheels on my car. I assume that they can be painted if necessary.

How different are the flat faced wheels in color and appearance between the years. One email said the older model wheels were all similar with the exception of the one's that had a chrome plated face.

What would be the price of just a plain pair of wheels including shipping to zip code 75670 in east Texas ?

Thanks,
Karen
