Wanted: 5.0L short block
Cracked the block on my Hybrid now need another 5.0L block from an '85-86.
Could even be without pistons as long as bores are good. I can re-use all of my goodies from the cracked block. I'll be swapping pistons anyway since mine are already cut for Euro S valves. Don't mind considering complete engine if it's cheap as I can ebay or list the extra bits here. Can go PAYPAL or trade other 928 goodies like Euro S TB, heads or cams. Giggle gas...good, Too much giggle gas...bad ![]() Thanks for any leads! PM or email - Landshark928@hotmail.com Last edited by N2O-SHARK; 06-18-2008 at 08:13 AM.. |

Florida. 928intl is my last choice, looking to go a little cheaper. Last one was $600 shipped. Spare was about the same. Kicking myself for selling it. Since my Hybrid was good to go I hooked up a rennlister building a stroker. Now wishing I had kept it.

Its all about time, I bought a good running long block out of a 70k mile wreck for $850, and I had a serious moment thinking about selling it when the last one on ebay sold for as much as it did (thinking it was $1700), but then I would be at 928Intl buying a short block if I wanted to build a hybrid.
FL has a LOT of old 928's, you should be able to find one if your willing to WAIT ....

Waiting sucks, just have to steal the daughter's shark for a while.
I may still break down and go with 928intl. They have been very good to me over the last 4 years and I know if the block has issues prior to instal, they will take care of me. I got lucky last 2 times on ebay, next time could be a $500 nightmare. At least I know 928intl takes a looksie prior to sending them out.
