more info on my calipers for sale
This is more detail on the s4 calipers and brake adapters ( I have adapters for a TBD caliper for sale).
I have a 97 993 and the calipers I am sellling are not off a 993. The only number I could find on the calipers are on the inside of the casting, 91 1 then 20.4702.01 I have attached two pics. The first pic is of two calipers. The caliper in the foreground is off my 97 993 (I am not selling them) and the far set is the set I am selling which I think is off a 928. Note that the mounting bosses on the 928 calipers are 10 mm higher than the ones off my 993. This may not pose a problem as the bosses can be machined off, but I have no experience there. The piston sizes are the same as the 993 and the seals, etc are excellent. But I can’t guarantee any fitment. For that I would suggest talking with a brake expert like Patrick motorsport, VCI, etc. The next pic of the caliper adapter. Like every other 911 guy I am bulling an RSR replica (very slowly) off my 73T. About 4 years ago I bought the adapters from a guy in Pano claiming they were made for S4 (I paid $125). A couple of years ago at Hershey I picked up the S4 calipers and it was oblivious they were not compatible. The adapters may have fit some version of the S4, but not the 928 or the 993 S4 that I have. The mounting holes on the S4 calipers are on 130 mm centers and use 10 mm bolts. The caliper adapters I am selling use 8 mm mounting bolts on 151mm centers. The adapters were made to fit some caliper (a Brembo F40?) but I don't know which. Regards, David ![]() ![]() |
