Quick question:

If an 82 928 timing belt breaks while running, what are the consequences?

Some of the early 928 were non-interference engines and nothing happened; and also some were interference---minimum valve job. Perform leakdown test, that will tell you for sure.

all 2 valve engines are non interference just install new belt

How about an 86 928?

In what year did the porsche make the 928 a 4 valve per cyl engines?

1) I believe the euro 4.7 engine is interference.
2) 1985
