I bought another 928 very recently and totally on impulse. Now my (free) off site storage for this one has fallen through and my wife doesn't want it at the house. I won't keep a 928 outside and that means we're doing the DD shuffle which is not going over well at all.

Petrol Blue with Camel tan and Brown leather interior. What I know about the car is that it was a DD for the PO who owned it from 1990 'till now. It's been a NJ car all it's life. It was a DD until 2002 when it went in storage until Feb 2010. PO serviced it at a Porsche dealer when he was driving it daily. It's no rub stripe car with no headlight washers or rear wiper but with a sunroof.

When the car was taken out of storage the PO had a known 928 shop put in new plugs, air filter, injectors, fuel pumps, fuel filter, both window switches, wipers, battery and power antenna. The receipts I have from the PO dated from Jan to May 2010 total $5,400. The car has been repainted the original color before going into storage. Per the PO a delivery truck backed into it and damaged the fender so he replaced the fender and painted the whole car to assure matching. The paint is quite good but has some scuff's and nicks.

She presents herself well except the bumpers were not prepped correctly and are spidered. Headlights go up and down and all lights work. No idiot lights are on and all bulbs are working. Sunroof doesn't work. Windows all work and go up and down very well. Wipers work too with new blades. Glass is OEM bronze and is good all around. Has slotted rotors and phone dial's with brand new tires. Has a Sanyo CD player Benzi box removable (whole radio slides out)

Interior is in good shape but carpet card on the passenger side below the center console came off. Missing the spare and some tools. Car starts right up and idle is stable but is running too rich. HVAC is inop and might be the controller as it started a bit when I wiggled the lower lever. Appears to have a cam tower oil leak on the passenger side at the front and a slight leak from the bottom of the steering fluid reservoir. I haven't driven the car except around the block a few times and have not had it on a lift.

It feels solid and doesn't pull but I haven't had it at speed. The door panels, headliner, inside rear quarters and center console are in good shape. The brown leather dash is pulling up on the passenger side but otherwise very good. Chances are there's a perfectly good black dash under the leather but I'm not sure -- so I'm not pulling off the brown leather to see. The pod has one hairline crack dead center and it appears many of the pod switches are new. Steering wheel has new horn pad but the wheel leather is shot. Power seats work but the leather has turned hard and separated in places. The back seats are in much better shape.

I haven't had this car for long at all and I don't know much more than what I've listed above. Here's the pictures. The car is in Northern NJ. About 30 minutes from NYC. I'm fairly certain '80 MY is non interference and also predates thrust bearing issue due to old style TT. The PO says he has 20 years of receipts, but so far has not found them -short of the above mentioned $5400 in recent work. He also says he has the spare tire, but I don't have it yet. I'll keep trying but no guarantee.

Here's the pictures, but if I can find another "free" place to keep it, she's staying with me. I have to be realistic that it's unlikely -- so asking price is $2,550. I bought this car with the best of intentions. Wanted to learn to wrench on it and make her 100% again. I hope someone here with wrenching skills will come rescue her. I think she's worth saving and I can watch her progress remotely via Rennlist if one of my fellow shark lovers wants to step in. PS. Check out that car phone; probably cost as much as my sale price back in the 80's!
