FS - 4.5 928 Engines
Got 2 928 4.5 engines for sale, 1978 and 1982. 82 has 66k in it, the 78 not sure dash was not in car. Both are complete intake to pan.

4.5L motors are VERY slow sellers, some have been for sale for years. Not so much due to no demand, but shipping is more than the cost of the motor beyond a short distance.
Scrap value is limited due to the mixed metals. What I did with the last one I bought was to pull the heads and remove cams (inside the carrier with lifters), oil pan, all the good looking misc parts, and gave away the short block. Injectors need to go in a sealed container with some oil as they rust internally otherwise). Early 78/79 cams are a little better than 80 to 84, which are only good as cores to weld and grind. Oil pans are good, not sure why, on early cars. Injectors are good as cores for cleaning, same for intake as core to paint or powder coat reducing down time. Any new parts, maybe wires, maybe wiring harness. All the CIS as cores to rebuild. |
