I just dropped a new motor in a NA that I sold. The factory manuals were great! I checked a few things before I purchased it. Such as bearing free play, cylinder diameter. So tore some of it apart before I dropped it in. They had every spec, every torque spec, every clearance. They were worth every penny I paid for them. Now I just need the turbo suppliment!

Yes I too have the manuals and they are definatly a nessecity for a rebuild. Mike check out the 944 classifieds there was a set of manuals and a belt tool for 650, not a bad deal at all!

Thanks porschepatron...I just bought a set of the factory manuals, with the turbo supplement and PET, on CD...I sure would like that timing belt tool though...I'm afraid if I buy anymore tools or stuff for the 951 my missus is going to freak

Hi Mike,
You live in Calgary.... I live in Edmonton.... nice to see another ALbertan...can't believe the Oilers and Flames are actually looking competitive again! The manuals are great and so are the PET CD.... and I finally the got the timing belt tool.... I just kept the actual $$$$ values from the misses...... How do you explain spending $400 U.S on a tool..... I felt guilty so I bought her stuff..... the things we do to keep our wives happy!!! hehehehe Alex |

Small world isn't it Alex...The Oilers always had a pretty decent team but the Flames start is unbelieveable...
At least now I know of someone in this province who has a belt tension tool...
