Which parts to stockpile?
So there's a bunch of 951 parts available on ebay from this guy on ebay (

Also, the guy has a transmission mount support from a 968 6sp which he suggests is an upgrade for a 944, is it? If so, why so?

I took a look. Not exactly great deals, so I don't recommend stockpiling anything that you don't specifically need, just to have as a backup. Sourcing parts for a 951 is NO PROBLEM. If, however, there are any components that would be an upgrade for you, i.e. suspension components such as the sway bar or struts or other parts (looks like these are from an M030, so they are desirable) then in that case take a good look and see if the price is really worth it.
