Too funny Fleabay advert

This guy is too much. He is claiming ~750HP from his "Newly rebuilt" DE car.

Porsche : 944: eBay Motors (item 200537329551 end time Nov-05-10 16:15:19 PDT)

Unless this is some 3.0L 16V rebuild, I see no way it can do what he is claiming...

Here is the text:

This is a brand new (rebuilt ground up), EXTREEEMELY FAST, race/street/DE car!!! Everything new, including motor, trans (S2 5speed with harden gears), Clutch (spec stage 3 hybrid, billet flywheel) suspension(Bilstein Escort Cup w/ camber Plates, rear Trailing arm Monoball and Weltmeister front and rear sway bars), brakes ("Big Black, tires, (1) seat, ect...... Have approximately 70K invested. I will only give details about this car to a serious buyer on all the parts and work done to car, incase your a racer and take it to the track. This car has been Professionally Built, with a goal all at the once, and Not pieced together part by part over years time. It will blow away gt3 and twin turbo's on the track or street, easily! If you race PCA, you will be in a stock class, lapping cars. I have been a PCA instructor for many years and driven every type of Porsche. With it's 50/50 weight distribution, coil over suspension, Big Black brakes and rocket drivetrain, everyone just scratches there head and wonders.... This car is tuneable (Mafterburner)by your laptop computer. Car runs/drives and handles Perfect. A/C blows cold and cruise control works great, as well as power windows, locks and sunroof. Detachable steering wheel, and horn works also. Would not hesitate to jump in it and drive (30mpg) cross country. It has "Fast air" cool suit and helmet set-up, camel pak (water) and (1) push button on/off video camera set-up. 9inch front rims 255-17 and 10inch 275-17 rears. new d.o.t slicks Plus lots more. Car has never been in an accident, or smoked in. Grafics are vinyl and can be removed. Stage 1 @12psi=459hp, Stage 2 @18psi=609hp, Stage 3 @23psi=734hp. (25hp per psi) Possible trades excepted, let me know what you got. Ted @ 1-630-464-4874. No Calls After 10pm or Before 8am. Thanks in advance. Also have LOTS of performance, interior, body parts and Trailers (open and enclosed "2 car stacker" avaible that will be coming to ebay soon. Call with needs. Getting out of racing. Vehicle for sale local and reserve the wright to sell. Actual vin# is wpdoaa095gn154482. ebay wouldn't except it. YouTube - MOV02290.MPG YouTube - MOV02289.MPG

Wow, must be tough to get 750 hp out of stock-sized fuel lines.

Now I havn't had my car that long and aren't real up to speed on this stuff yet but I have a hard time believing he's getting 609hp (and 30mpg !) through the stock intercooler lines and stock intake but what do I know. What I like is he built a car with one seat and removable steering wheel yet he's still got ac and cruise control.... and runs in the stock class.. like they won't figure that out

Those two NACA ducts on the left headlight cover add another 85 hp. Have to admit the Lindsey Solid Cam is a nice addition though.

It actually looks to be a pretty nice car. The only issues are the grandiose HP claims, as well as the way the car will "eat up" GT3's and Twin Turbos. Oh, and the asking price seems to be ridiculous.

Who knows, maybe someone with more $$$ than sense will actually buy it. That would actually be a good thing IMO, as the value of my car might actually be decent

Personally I love the other video he has in his YouTube account but doesn't list in the auction, the one where none of the stock gauges work.

seller claims:
1986 Porsche 944 951

research shows:
vin: wp0cb2942ln480154
1990 porsche 944 s2

looks like a frankenturbo with questionable heritage.

This is the second time that this car has been discussed. This guy definatly didnt build it himself if his so bold enough to say that is has 700+ bhp. This is when I wish that Ebay had a comments section on the items. What a tool. I have been told that people called to ask him about the car, but could not get answers. Not like there are some for the horse power claims.

If the auction is misleading, he can be reported to EBay as a fraud.

Or you could "ask questions" about the sale. I've done that before.

He's blipping the throttle all the time without a load on the engine. That's going to cause numbers to be all over the place, especially with the rather primitive deceleration fuel cutoff that these cars use.

I like the ad. I REALLY like that, by his 25hp per psi metric, I have a 375HP car with nothing more than an ancient set of Weltmeister chips!
