Help 951 Stutter Step

So the car drives excellent EXCEPT sometimes - and im not sure why its only sometimes - when your in 5th gear and laying on the gas full blast -after about 5 seconds or so (now going very fast) the whole car feels like the engine quits (although it doesn't). It stutters horribly and almost feels like it chokes and stops sending gas to the engine. now this only happens for a second or two until you let off the gas then everything is fine. NOW- I have noticed absolutely no decline or drop in RPM. I'm at a loss here for I don't know what to do

It feels like there is a very very aggressive speed governor installed or perhaps the airflow meter signal is lost and the chip is slowing things down - or knock sensor is wack, but like I said it only happens sometimes when you hammer it down.

Sometimes if you ease into the acceleration you can get the pedal to the floor and experience none of this.

ideas? THANKS guys!

A bad vacuum line could also cause fuel cut but you didn't mention it happening at approximately 4,000 rpms (?) so it might not be the one that goes to the Wastegate.

My '86 hits fuel cut @ ~ 4k rpms in 4th @ WOT and Clarks Garage mentions a vacuum line to the WG might be the culprit.
