Rod Bearings

What is the spec I saw 75+ 5 or something not too sure. What type of oil or grease to use when installing them. Tips or comments would like!
Thank you! I want to do this correctly

If you're talking the torque for the rod bolts, the spec is 75+5 Nm (55+4 Lb-ft). Use only the ribbed rod nut, not the smooth surface ones. Use assembly lube. Of course, use plastigage to check for clearance between rod bearing and crankshaft.

I have an 87 turbo with 80K miles (approx.). The oil pan gasket needs to be replaced.
Should I replace the rod bearings at this time? How can I tell they need replacement?
Is this work difficult? I have not been able to find instructions on this forum or Clark's Garage.
Thank you for any information you can provide.

That would be wise. I wasnt originally planning on it, but once you get the pan off, you'd be looking at at all that stuff. I did the bearings, a bunch of suspension work, inner and outer tie rods. All that stuff was original. I figured since I was there... As for the work, with the right tools no it aint too difficult. I say this because this isnt my daily driver, so I wasnt under the gun to finish it in one weekend. I did mine with help from this forum. There are a few threads on that topic. Just search it out...

Start here... I know it says cylinder head, but the latter pages are for the pan removal.
